Fish pose, also called matsyendrasana, is a supine backbend with the legs, pelvis, and crown of the head on the floor, chest and belly lifting upwards. It is often used as a counterpose for shoulderstand, sarvangasana, and can also be done passively over a block.

My friend is a neurologist and he stresses that it's important to not put much weight on the top of your head for anatomical reasons. Use your forearms and core to reach toward the ceiling to keep the weight off.
